WWE WrestleMania 32 Preview

The month of March can be argued as one of the most exciting months of year for sports. In the month of March alone we get to see things like the NFL free agency, where teams try to get the best players available to join their cities to try to increase their chance to win a Super Bowl. We see teams in the NBA and NHL fight as best they can to get a spot in the playoffs for their respected championships. And, finally, of course you cannot forget about March Madness, arguably the most popular thing in all of college sports. While all these things are a big part of march there is of course one more thing about March that cannot be denied, and that is the conclusion of the long road to the WWE’s SuperBowl…WrestleMania.

Yes, professional wrestling is predetermined – hence it being sports entertainment. Despite all that the athleticism and the injuries are in fact one hundred percent real and despite all of its critics, professional wrestling seems to get bigger each year. Even ESPN will be broadcasting SportsCenter from the event on Sunday.

What makes WrestleMania special is the moments that occur at the event. For example, The Undertaker facing Shawn Michaels at the 25th anniversary of the show in what many call the greatest match in WWE history, or when at WrestleMania three when Hulk Hogan body slammed Andre the Giant in front of 93,000 people, or when Stone Cold Steve Austin became the most popular wrestler in the world by losing but earning the crowds respect at WrestleMania 13.

The impact that WrestleMania has had on sports is undeniable. The event has moments including some of the most famous people to walk the earth. Who could forget the first WrestleMania when Mr. T helped Hulk Hogan go up against Paul Orndorff and Rowdy Piper with Muhammad Ali as the guest referee. Or when Iron Mike Tyson was the special enforcer for the world title match between Shawn Michaels and Stone Cold Steve Austin. Or many WrestleManias when arguably the biggest actor in the world today, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, was headlining multiple WrestleManias before become a headlining movie star.

WrestleMania 32 is taking place at AT&T Stadium (better known as Jerry World), home of the Dallas Cowboys. WWE’s plan since the location was announced was to break the 93,000 attendance record from the third WrestleMania, what they hope for is to have over 100,000 fans attend at the event. While the state of Texas is a great wrestling state there has been discussions about what is the best-wrestling city in America (To see my opinion on that debate click here for more, you might be surprised).

The event this year has had its criticisms from the fans due to the people on the card, but the reason is due to the giant list of injuries to the superstars including former champion Seth Rollins, Cesaro, Nikki Bella, Sting, and face of the WWE John Cena. Here are my predictions to what will happen this Sunday at the grandest stage of them all WrestleMania!

11. The Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal

For the third straight year, the battle royal celebrating the memory of arguably the greatest giant in the history of time takes place at WrestleMania. While past years’ winners haven’t done much with the victory, rumors are circulating that the winner of this years event is expected to receive a huge push. Winner: Bray Wyatt

10. The Usos vs The Dudley Boyz

One of the greatest tag teams of all time, the Dudley’s are in their first WrestleMania in over ten years take on one of the most popular teams in The Usos. While some may think this could perhaps be a passing of the torch, in the end you need to have some bad guys win some of the matches. Winnner: The Dudley Boyz

9. The Total Divas vs. Team BAD & Blonde

The cast of the reality show Total Divas go up against a team of heel woman. In the end the Total Divas team goes over to help build their characters in the ring and the reality television world. Winner: Total Divas

8. Kalisto (C) vs. Ryback for the United States Championship

As usual in the world of sports entertainment, this match of pits a little guy vs. a big guy, David vs. Goliath. Kalisto is looking like to be the next luchadore to take the torch that Rey Mysterio once held, but he will have to get through the Big Guy Ryback. This is one of those matches that fans should watch because it has the potential to steal the show with both performers talents. Winner: Ryback

7. The New Day vs. League of Nations

The League of Nations will be taking on arguably the most popular faction in all of professional wrestling in The New Day. The talented but very funny tandem has been on a roll since they debuted last year and show no signs of slowing down. Look for The New Day’s entrance alone to be one of the most entertaining moments of the entire show. Winner: New Day

6.Charlotte (C) (with Ric Flair) vs. Becky Lynch vs. Sasha Banks for the Divas Championship

The three most popular and talented women in the company will look to steal the show as these performers will try to show why the divas revolution in professional wrestling is real and that the women can be just as, if not more important and talented, than the male performers. What will be interesting to watch is to see what role Charlotte’s father, arguably the greatest of all time and the dirtiest player in the game, Ric Flair has in the result of the match where a new queen of the WWE could be crowned. Winner: Sasha Banks

5.Kevin Owens (C) vs. Sami Zayn vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Zack Ryder vs. Sin Cara vs. The Miz vs. Stardust in a ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship

Some of the most talented superstars on the roster will showcase their talents in a dangerous match where all they have to do is climb a ladder and retrieve the championship. Fan favorite Dolph Ziggler will look to steal the show as he always tries to, while beloved newcomer Sami Zayn will look to start his main roster career with a huge win. Of course though everyone’s eyes will be on the champion Kevin Owens, who has arguably had one of the greatest rookie years in WWE with being the champion as well as defeating John Cena in his debut match. Winner: Kevin Owens

4. AJ Styles vs. Chris Jericho

Internet sensation and wrestling veteran AJ Styles made his WWE debut at the Royal Rumble in January to one of the biggest reactions from the crowd in recent memory. Many suspected that Styles wouldn’t be fighting Jericho after Styles won their three series of matches 2-1. However, jealousy in professional wrestling is inevitable and Jericho isn’t a fan of how the crowd has welcomed Styles with open arms. Look for these two to put on a classic as the best in the world at what he does tries to prove that he is better than the phenomenal one. Winner: AJ Styles

3. Brock Lesnar (with Paul Heyman) vs. Dean Ambrose in a street fight

This match is my prediction for the match of the night as Dean Ambrose, arguably the most popular wrestler on the roster, takes on one of the most physical fighters of all time in Brock Lesnar. The former NCAA division I heavyweight champion, UFC undisputed heavyweight champion, and WWE champion will look to destroy Ambrose in a match where anything is legal to use on your opponent such as crowbars, barbwire baseball bats, and even chainsaws. Safe to say for this match that viewer discretion will be highly advised. Winner: Brock Lesnar

2. Shane McMahon vs. The Undertaker Hell in a Cell match

The most promoted match on the card with so much on the line. If Shane wins, he will gain control of Monday Night Raw. But if Undertaker loses, he will never be allowed to compete at WrestleMania again, the show he is most known for after putting on four to five-star performances. What will be interesting to watch is what these two men do to each other in arguably the most dangerous match in all of professional wrestling. If you want to know exactly why this match is the most dangerous, look up The Undertaker vs. Mankind Hell in a Cell 1998. This match is the clear number one that fans are worried about what will happen with Shane, Undertaker, and the future of the WWE when the final bell rings. Winner: Shane McMahon

1.Roman Reigns vs. Triple H (C) for the WWE Championship

The main event of the evening. The number one contender will try to win back the title he once held from one of the greatest of all time. What viewers should pay attention to is the obvious fan reactions to Reigns as he is the clear good guy in this rivalry, but due to fan disapproval he his usually booed out of any building he works in. Look for the ending of this match to send a clear message to what direction the WWE is going with the biggest prize in the game…the WWE World Title. Winner: Roman Reigns

WrestleMania is this Sunday April 3 on pay per view or on the WWE Network, and for new subscribers to the network WrestleMania will be free. This Sunday’s event looks to try to entertain the biggest crowd that WWE has ever had in its history what will be interesting to watch is how the crowd of people from every corner of the world reacts to certain points of the show. Let’s get ready to rumble.
